I never thought I would say this, but I am absolutely thrilled because the shower is finally complete and done!!!!!

Well, almost. I still have to do the niche, but I ran out of mortar, so I plan to do that when I get to the floor. But other than that, the shower is done!!!! Grouted and all. But it feels like I can actually see the finish line with this bathroom renovation.

It really felt like this day was never going to come. But ahhh!!! I’m so excited. I left you last week with a majority of the back wall finished. This week was busy, that’s for sure, but the other two walls add up to the same size as the back wall, so it went quicker than I thought.

I got into a rhythm and was able to move at a much quicker speed. Just like with the back wall, I learned so much. And although looking back, I would do things a little different next time, I am so happy with how it turned out.

After it was all tiled {minus the niche}, I had my work cut out for me with making sure the grout lines were all clean. I was a little nervous that I would not apply enough mortar and ended up applying too much {meaning I had a lot to clean up before I could grout}.

The grout felt like the easy part. I ended up going with a light-medium gray color grout and I am obsessed! I used the grout float for most of it, but ended up finding it easier to use my hands. Once I got the grout done and haze cleaned off, I used the grout caulk for all the seams {ceiling, tub, corners}.
