Where to find the Best Vinyl Flooring on a Budget

When we moved into our house 3 1/2 years ago, we knew the flooring was a must replace. Our hope was to one day be able to get back to the original hardwoods that our 90 year old house would have. We started thinking of other options as we learned that we would have to wait years before our budget would allow us to do that. And then, we discovered that they had taken out the original hardwoods underneath the outdated tile and bamboo. Plan B it was!

After much research, we landed on Select Surfaces Rigid Core Vinyl Flooring in the style Farmhouse. Any of Select Surfaces flooring options are budget friendly, whether you go with laminate or vinyl. Plus, you can purchase it at Sam's Club!

Full disclosure, Select Surfaces provided us with this flooring free of charge in exchange for this post with our honest thoughts, which are all fantastic! I highly recommend these floors.

The main reason we chose vinyl is because it is 100% waterproof. With children and pets, anything to have less maintenance is a must. On top of that, this rigid core vinyl has so many other benefits.

It's click installation makes this a quick and easy install. Whether you are planning on hiring out or DIY'ing it, the click installation is huge! And if you are wanting to install these floors yourself, Select Surfaces has you covered! They have everything you need from installation guides to videos to help you through it.

Vinyl in itself is very durable, and these are no different. They are easy to clean and resistant to stains. And on top of that, the farmhouse style hides all the things {more on this in a bit}. I will say, that like any flooring, scuffs and scratches can still happen. You can't expect to drag a knife across them and not get any scratches.

The 1 mm attached foam backer is beneficial because it helps smooth minor subfloor imperfections, acts as an extra sound barrier and will cushion the planks. And the absolute best part! Because of how thin the vinyl is, we were able to install it over our existing bamboo floor with no issues. This saved us a lot of time and money with not having to demo our existing floor {the only room we did demo was our dining room which was tile}.

Now let's talk about the style we chose. We ended up going with the style Farmhouse. It is the perfect greige, having both gray and brown undertones. The time of day and lighting is the determining factor as to which color pops through. It blends perfectly with our existing tile in the kitchen and goes well with all our wood furniture pieces. ***I highly recommend always getting a sample so you can see what it would look like in your home. Farmhouse was not my first choice when looking online...and then we got it on our home and it is everything I never knew I ever wanted.

I cannot believe the difference it has made in our home. It changes everything in the best way possible!

I can say without a doubt, I would recommend Select Surfaces any day. You can look online at their website, or check out Sam's Club. They make it SUPER easy for you!
